Askiyo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our services.   • Meeting Data: We collect information about meetings you participate in, including audio/video data (if applicable), meeting transcripts, and nudges or suggestions generated during the meeting.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To Provide and Improve Services: We use your information to operate and improve Askiyo, offering real-time meeting assistance, follow-up questions, and other productivity-related features.

  • Personalization: To personalize the services, we tailor recommendations based on your usage patterns, meeting types, and preferences.

  • Communication: We may use your contact information to communicate with you about product updates, new features, or important changes to this Privacy Policy.

3. Data Storage and Security

We store your data on AWS servers and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.

We retain your data for 90 days. While there is no direct option to delete your information, you can contact us at the provided details if you wish to request deletion.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share your data in the following situations:

  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist in the operation of Askiyo, such as cloud storage providers or analytics services. We also use Deepgram and OpenAI APIs for our services, and by using Askiyo, you agree to their respective privacy policies.

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information when required to comply with a legal obligation or government request, such as court orders or legal processes.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred. We will notify you if such a transfer occurs.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.

6. International Data Transfers

Askiyo operates across the world. While we are not yet directly GDPR compliant, we have end-to-end (E2E) integration to ensure the safety of your data. If you are accessing our services from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country other than your own.

7. Data Collection and Use

By using Askiyo, you acknowledge and agree that Askiyo collects, processes, and uses certain data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We may also share your data with third-party service providers, including Deepgram, OpenAI, and potentially Google, to provide or improve our services, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

We do not use any data collected from Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models. Data obtained through Google Workspace APIs is solely used to provide and improve our services as specified in this Privacy Policy, in compliance with Google’s policies.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

Askiyo may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including but not limited to Deepgram, OpenAI, and Google APIs. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Askiyo assumes no responsibility for the content, functionality, or practices of any third-party service.

9. Children’s Privacy

Askiyo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through email or in-app notifications and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
